Walking in the footsteps of my ancestors. Consider that who we've become is the culmination of everything learned and experienced by those who've gone before. We're the culmination of their mistakes, their happiness, their heartache, their fight. In a way, we're one long people. I walk with them and in spite of them. I walk to heal their decisions and difficulties. I walk to make new choices that support loving-kindness for all. I walk so they can rest easy beneath the sands and ash of time.
